Greetings!
He has made everything beautiful in its time. -- Ecclesiastes 3:11
The beauty of Christmas! It all begins with Advent, the first Christmas carol, the first house seen all aglow, the wreaths hung on neighbors doors, all of this reminds us of the beauty of Christmas. It brings a smile to our face, a bounce to our step, a song to hum as we go through these days as we anticipate the birth of Jesus Christ.

As each of us prepares for our Christmas traditions, we all need to take the time to remember the coming of the birth of Jesus Christ. We can do this through our daily devotional time and ensuring that scripture and hymns are all part of this time of reflection and anticipation.
One of my favorite versus is Luke 2:14, "Glory to God in the highest and peace, good will towards men." This verse is just a reminder of the peace we need to bring to our world, to our community, to our family. Simple deeds of kindness and the spreading of good will are the acts that fill our days with joy and our hearts with love.
May your acts of kindness fill the world around you with the joy of the season and the love for our Lord.
And the simplest verse from Isaac Watts' hymn "Joy To The World" can fill your heart with the love of the coming of our Lord.
Joy to the world! The Lord has come.
Let earth receive her King;
Let every heart prepare Him room,
And heaven and nature sing.
So how are you preparing your heart for this Christmas? Sometimes those "to-do" lists we have should have a reminder note to sing, to praise, and to reach out with an act of kindness. On my list today is the hymn "Away in the Manger", my praises will include reading Luke Chapter 1, and my act of kindness will be to pick up the phone and call one person I haven't spoken to lately. Christmas is the best time to spread love and receive love.
