"Christmas waves a magic wand over this world, and behold, everything is softer and more beautiful." - Norman Vincent Peale
It's Christmas, a time we remember all of the angels in our lives. Who are yours? There is something about Christmas that reminds us about our angels that have come and gone. A time to reminisce, love and be thankful.
Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful. - Colossians 3:15

Years ago growing up, my family would visit my great aunt at Christmastime. Aunt Marion was so special. We were always blown away each year when at Christmas she would give us the most unique and unusual gift. She would find the perfect present that sometimes seemed not of this earth. You see she was an angel and only angels were granted the ability to make and give gifts of love like these.
One Christmas, she gave my sister and me a chocolate orange. We actually thought it was a real orange that miraculously turned into the most delicious milk chocolate with hints of orange flavor that maintained its original orange shape with orange sections and all. We just couldn't believe our eyes when we opened it up. But instead of a hard-to-peel orange skin, it had the most beautiful orange and gold foil wrapping, and when the chocolate was revealed the aroma almost knocked us over. We knew our aunt was an angel but this really put her into an angel status beyond our wildest imaginations, and we could hardly describe her love, thoughtfulness and affection after that. And as far as that chocolate orange; well we never could find one on our own. Never ever!
Then another Christmas came, and she served ice cream that was so special it couldn't be scooped with a traditional ice cream scooper. You see, this ice cream came from heaven and it was so angelic it could only be sliced, then served on the finest flat china plate and eaten with the most delicate silver spoon. She explained, it was sent from God to celebrate the birth of baby Jesus, and so special that we were to savor it to receive the blessings of Christmas. As it slowly melted we savored the moment and could actually feel the blessing. It was the most delicious and richest ice cream we ever tasted. There again, we never did find ice cream you could slice and serve on a plate.
Well this aunt was very special, and every Christmas I think of her. Who is your Aunt Marion? Who are the angels in your life that you think of at this time of year? Is there someone that is special right now, someone you remember from years gone by that brings out tears of joy because that person was so kind, gracious and loving to you that you felt overjoyed? The definition of an angel is a 'kind person', and a kind person is 'Christ-like'.
Man is the image and glory of God. - 1 Corinthians 11:7
There are angels among us in our everyday lives - past and present. They give us rides to work and school; they serve us lunch in the cafeteria; they are picking up our trash at the end of the driveway right now; delivering our Christmas cards; taking our last minute orders over the phone and rushing our deliveries in time for Christmas; sitting on the other side of the cubicle at work; eagerly waiting for us to return home; planning the traditional Christmas dinner; wrapping your Christmas present; rehearsing so we can hear angelic music on Christmas eve; writing the Christmas sermon; out of work or homeless waiting for a meal at the soup kitchen; praying for you; loving you!
For the Lord crowns the humble with salvation. - Psalm 149:4
Who are your Christmas angels? Make a list and check it twice. Express your gratitude and love to each one. There is no better time than now at Christmas to say - you matter, you are important, I appreciate you, I love you! Look into the eyes of the Christmas angels in your life around you today. Remember and thank your angels past and present. Pray and tell them how much you care. Be a Christmas Angel to someone right now. God bless you this Christmas and always!
I bring you the most joyful news ever announced, and it is for everyone! The Savior - yes, the Messiah, the Lord-has been born tonight in Bethlehem. - Luke 2:10-11
