Thanksgiving, and A Look Back at the Fall Woodworker's Fair
I would like to thank all who attended and made the first Fall Woodworker’s Fair such a success. We had such a good turnout. It was a pleasure to see people come out to talk with the vendors and see what they have created with our wood. It all starts with a good piece of wood, a blank canvas if you will; while the final product depends upon the talent and skill of the individual craftsman. Bailey Wood Products provides the best materials for each woodworker to create a piece of lasting beauty. Their work exemplifies our mission statement, “Finding Beauty and Function in Every Tree.” All of the woodcrafts at the fair, from the guitar to the pieces of furniture, mirrors, bowls, highly detailed miniatures and the ever functional cutting board, were works of art created by artists.
Many thanks to everyone who patronized the Scout Troop. It was a great opportunity for these young boys to raise money for their yearly dues and the trips that the Troop takes. I know they had a great time working the concession stand. Community service is an important part of the Scouting program and their service to everyone who attended the event made it so much more enjoyable.
Thanks also to the PA Forest Products Association for providing the Woodmobile for the fair. They play a very important role in the "tree to product" process by making sure that we can access and sustainably harvest the public and private lands in our Commonwealth. Their role as educators and their work with the PA State House, Senate, and Legislature, protect our forests and allow us to use our natural resources wisely. The Woodmobile is an excellent source of information about the importance of our forests for both our economy and our wellbeing as humans.
Finally, I would like to thank all of our customers for choosing us as their supplier of quality wood products. Without them, we would not be in business. The support of our customers and the local community are of great importance to Bailey Wood Products. As we approach Thanksgiving, I would like to thank everyone who has been a part of the Bailey Wood Products Community since 1928. Times change. Bailey Wood Products has adapted. We would not have come this far were it not for our loyal customers input, advice and custom orders. May they all find peace and happiness this Thanksgiving. Thank You for the opportunity to bring beautiful wood into your shops and lives.
