Help Wanted: Social Media Hunter/Gatherer/Volunteer to Promote Scouting on Social Media
Are you often on Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, Twitter? Do you like to things you with friends (and strangers)? If so, you can help us get the word out about how much fun Scouting is and can be. We need 1 or more parents to volunteer to help us hunt down fun stuff from the web and gather that into packets that can be placed on the Council's social media sites. 1-2 small items per day (with pictures) that can be scheduled daily, weekly, monthly etc. for posting is all that it takes. Council staff can do the posting, you just hunt and gather...and send it in! You decide how to specialize--one person could focus on Facebook, one on Pinterest, etc., or one could do it all--and you decide your own schedule. You would be responsible for finding and collecting the content (you could create content if you want but not required) and maintaining a social media calendar so the staff knows what the focus is. You work with the Council Marketing Committee and staff to set the calendar and report once a month on what is happening--the time is yours to determine how to do this. If interested, please contact Martha Bowden at [email protected].
