Dear Earth Hero    Welcome back from summer.  We've had a wonderful turnout at our summer beach cleanups and we keep spotting Earth Hero's taking action on our streets, parking lots and public places!   Maybe it was you picking up that litter on the sidewalk?  Maybe it was you composting and tending a garden.  Thank you!  Every action makes a difference!

And there's a beach, street, creek, park, or parking lot with your name on it!  Please join us for the largest volunteer event on the planet - where people in over 100 countries around the world work together on one common goal: cleaning up our oceans, watersheds and communities!

Last year in Pacifica, over 1,100 volunteers worked together to remove over 3,000 pounds of pollution ~ this is what community is all about!

Small groups make a BIG difference for Coastal Cleanup  Day
Like Earth Day, Coastal Cleanup Day is a wonderful opportunity to team build and share an experience with your community, business, family, and social group.  A small team of people can adopt a site, clean it up,  and make a difference and have a blast doing it knowing that they have done  something that matters.

If you can get a few people together for this year's Coastal Cleanup Day, September 15th, 2012 consider signing up to manage one of these "HOT SPOTS".  To register for your location and receive supplies, please call the Pacifica Beach Coalition at 355-1668.
