RELEVANT YOUTH NEWSLETTER

A LETTER FROM JIM

Dear Friends of Crossroads and Cornerstone,

After serving TFCA for almost ten years with this exciting youth ministry, I expressed to the leadership of the Church that it is time for me to transition from my position as the youth pastor effective August 31, 2016.

I will be working with my best friend, Ken Bowers, on his team of Real Estate Agents, helping people find and sell their homes. I will continue to be giving active leadership to Crossroads, Cornerstone, and the many events and trips until the end of the summer. There will be a special Send off Party set for Sunday Night for all ages on May 15th in the Concourse of 6565 Arlington Blvd. A Love Offering will be collected for my family.

It has been a true joy and blessing to see young people come to sincere faith in Jesus Christ, grow strong in their faith, and discover the grace and faithfulness of a great God while in their teen years.  The youth of Crossroads and Cornerstone are GREAT!  My wife Jenny will continue to serve in her position at TFCA as the Seniors Coordinator and I am planning to be a regular part of the church congregation.

There will be a Crossroads and Cornerstone Parents Meeting for parents of any middle-school or high school students in the cafeteria of Bishop O'Connell on Feb. 7th (Super Bowl Sunday) at 12:30-1:30.  There will be a time for the Youth Staff to share of the upcoming programs and a question and answer time. Hope to see all the parents there!

Over the next months, I really look forward to directing both Breakaways, speaking at Crossroads Breakaway with our middle school, speaking and directing our Sr. Florida Trip, speaking at 8th Grade Weekend, giving strong leadership at Fusion, hosting the Summer College Bible Study at my home, and being at all the Crossroads and Cornerstones of the rest of the school year! I love the times with our young people! Our hard working Youth Staff and faithful Youth Family will continue to give their leadership and mentoring as they have so faithfully done for years.

Please be in prayer for me and may family in this transition. I look forward to working on a team with my best friend Ken, who brought me to church when I was 14 years old. As some of you know, I paid for my college tuition by selling Fuller Brush door to door.
