 Crossroads and Cornerstone Kick-off! We can't wait to begin our Crossroads and Cornerstone 2015-16 year! Until our new building is ready for us, we are excited to announce that we will be meeting back at Cherrydale Baptist Church on September 13th for our Crossroads and Cornerstone Kick-off. This means a full gym with basketball hoops and PLENTY of small group rooms! We can't wait! Hope to see you there.
Crossroads: 4:30-6:30 p.m. for all middle school age students grades 6-8 FREE PIZZA THIS WEEK ONLY!! Crossroads starts off with free time to play and hang out with friends, followed by group games, a talk, and time in small groups. Bring all your friends!

ADULT DISCIPLESHIP ESSENTIALS CLASS
Jim Byrne will be teaching a class for adults titled "Discipleship Essentials" November 1st Through Dec 13th on Sunday mornings at 9:00 am
Jim encourages parents to attend because it will give insight into the purpose and philosophy behind our youth work as well as help people develop spiritually and in mentoring others.
Hope you can plan on attending!

Calling All Singers
Did you know that TFCA has a Youth Choir? Our goal for 2015/2016 is to see the Youth Choir grow in number and in voice while incorporating more contemporary music in that's fun to sing. If you love to sing, but maybe don't want to sing a solo, then this is the perfect opportunity for you! We will have weekly Thursday evening rehearsals and sing for TFCA services every 4-6 weeks.
Bring yourself and bring a friend!
TFCA would also like to invite all high school aged students who are developing their singing voices to try out the TFCA adult choir- join us in singing some awesome choral pieces and help lead the worship on Sunday mornings. It helps if you can read music. We rehearse on Thursdays from 730-9pm and will start September 3rd. If you're interested, consider joining us up to Christmas when we will sing one of the most amazing pieces ever written for choirs, Handel's Messiah, with professional orchestra and soloists.

Serve During Worship
Are you interested in participating in ministry or worship at TFCA, but maybe you don't sing or feel comfortable speaking in front of large crowds? Have you ever considered becoming an Acolyte? Do you know what an Acolyte is? Acolytes are the youth who lead us into worship by carrying the processional cross, lighting the altar candles, receiving the offering, and assisting with communion. Just this past year we had 4 graduating Acolytes who had faithfully served TFCA together since 6th grade (that's 7 years!). This is a really great way to serve God and our church. We currently have a need for new Acolytes at all three of our Sunday morning services (8am, 9am, and 11am). Interested? Contact Lindi.

COURSE: This course is for high school age students and consists of 10 required sessions. Students who complete the requirements of the course (class attendance, memorization, reading, quizzes, and interview with clergy) will be confirmed at the annual Confirmation Service with Bishop John Guernsey at Bishop O'Connell HS.
DATES: starts Sun, January 24, 2016. Last class April 10. (Not meeting Feb 14 and March 27)
