These hour-long phone-based  sessions are designed to connect family caregivers to experts with helpful information and other caregivers by providing needed emotional, educational and social support.
These sessions, courtesy of the WellMed Charitable Foundation, can be accessed from anywhere via your phone: no need to get dressed up, find transportation, or get a sitter.

"Fall-Proofing Your Home and Yourself" with Kathleen A Cameron, MPH, NCOA and Karen Smith, OT, CAPS

Kathleen A. Cameron is the Senior Director of the National Falls Prevention Resource Center with the National Council on Aging. Karen Smith, OT, CAPS, is with the American Occupational Therapy Association. These two expert presenters will discuss the impact of falls, and risk factors for falls. They will also address fall prevention strategies, and fall proofing the home environment. If you're concerned about falls for yourself or your loved one, this is the session for you.

"How Do I Spell Relief: A Caregiver's Guide to Stress Management" with Carol Zernial, MA
How would you rate your ability to manage the stress you feel as you care for your loved one or family member? In this session, learn healthy strategies and techniques to manage stress. Also, you will hear about the importance of preparing for stressful events by maintaining physical and emotional balance every day. You will hear other caregivers share their successful experiences in recognizing and coping with stress.
