The Rev. Andrew Villarreal gave a heartfelt testimonial about assistance he received from Caregiver SOS staff during his remarks at the recent Grand Opening of the Caregiver SOS Resource Center, located in the Cisneros Senior Center in San Antonio.

Rev. Villarreal emphasized that as a minister, he was always helping others--but he was reluctant to seek help for himself while serving as a family caregiver for his recently deceased wife, who had Alzheimer's disease.

With coaching and encouragement from Caregiver SOS Program Managers, he learned about respite care, participated in Caregiver Support classes, and completed the Stress-Busting Program.
