NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
A City of San Antonio Naming Committee will hold a public hearing regarding the naming of the facility located at 6157 NW Loop 410.
The facility is intended to be used as a Senior Multi-Service Center. Two options for naming are being discussed, "District 7 Senior Center." and "Doris Griffin Senior One Stop Center."
Consistent with the City's naming process for buildings established to serve a City function, a public hearing has been scheduled for Wednesday, December 10, 2014, from 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Alicia Trevino Lopez Senior Center located at 8353 Culebra Road, San Antonio, TX 78251.

During this hearing, the Naming Committee will consider the two names submitted for.consideration. Additional details for consideration of each option is provided below.
District 7 Senior Center: The proposed name specifies the Council District location of the center and is reflective of the purpose of the center which is to provide services to seniors in the area.
Doris Griffin Senior One Stop Center: Doris Griffin is a longtime resident of Council District 7 and an advocate for senior issues. She serves as the executive director of the non-profit Jefferson Outreach which is dedicated to the bettennent of seniors' quality of life through services that help them remain at home, and is a member of the Texas Silver Haired Legislature and Alamo Area Council of Govermnents - Bexar Senior Advisory Committee.
This meeting shall be open to the public with an opportunity for public comment. A w1itten response in favor of or against either, or both, of the suggested names may be submitted to Roger Gonzalez (infonnation provided below). Submissions postmarked on or prior to the date of the hearing will be accepted.
