Objective: To provide each participant with the knowledge and skills necessary to reduce the secondary impact of stress resulting from working with high-needs or traumatized people. To provide organizations with the tools to prevent high personnel attrition rates and statistically higher employee sickness due to stress, lack of self-care and emotional distress.

Who should attend this Compassion Fatigue Training?
Any career personnel that deals with trauma, emergencies, crises, and providing assistance to other people.  Some professions which are statistically at high risk for Compassion Fatigue and Burn-out: Mental Health Professionals, Nursing Home/Hospice Workers, Social Workers, Family Therapists; Case-Managers, Clinical Supervisors, Direct-care Staff, Chaplains, Ministers, Victim Assistance Coordinators, Child-care Personnel, School Counselors, Teachers, School Administrators...

Project Cool is now accepting 20" box fans.Fans can be dropped off at your nearest San Antonio fire station.  

 

They will be distributed to senior citizens in need of fans, who can call 211 to get information about fan pick up locations or, in some instances, the fans can be delivered to those who cannot leave their homes.
