"Love Lives On"

A Motivational Valentine Celebration
for Widows and Widowers
Date: Tuesday, February 12, 2013

Time: 6 - 8 p.m.
Place: Legacy Chapels, 4610 S. Jackson Rd, Edinburg, TX

Valentine's Day is a day of hearts, roses, chocolates, dinner and champagne. From department stores to grocery stores, the display of love and relationships is everywhere. Unlike other holidays, widows and widowers are not able to celebrate Valentine's Day with their loved one. For a grieving widow and widower, it is another painful reminder of a love lost. Feelings of loneliness, jealousy or anger may intensify, which may hinder or complicate the healing process.

New pathways is a group designed to help widows and widowers develop a social net-work of friends who share a common experience. It is not a singles group. The group is designed to help individuals who are struggling with the grieving process and are search-ing for effective coping tools. Information related to grief will be provided.
We will have a guest speaker from Project Insight, Marsha Nelson, PhD, who shares her story of being a widow and steps taken to heal her broken heart. She shares tools to work through the transition.
Join us for an evening of fun and games, music and snacks.

Seating is limited. Please RSVP or for additional information contact Nina Enriquez or Jessica Ochoa at 682-0500. You may also make your reservations with Joe Sanchez with Legacy Chapels at 618-5900. Childcare will be provided. Click here for flyer for printing/posting. Click here for news article on this program.
