Free CCCSSA Budgeting and Credit Counseling Services

As a member of the National Foundation For Credit Counseling (NFCC), Consumer Credit Counseling Service of Greater San Antonio (CCCSSA) provides reliable, professional, personal and confidential counseling at no cost to individuals. Each session is tailored to fit your specific needs and includes a review of your financial situation and determination of next steps.

  Budgeting/Credit Counseling
According to financial experts, the problem is not our paycheck but a lack of money management skills and solid spending habits.

Contrary to what many think, a budget is not restrictive. It is an effective financial management tool that helps you to maintain financial wellness. CCCSSA certified consumer credit counselors will help you create an effective budget that will help you to avoid debt and over-spending. A well-designed, realistic spending plan is the most powerful tool available for reaching your financial goals.

Budgeting counseling sessions are available in-person, by telephone or may be started at www.cccssa.org. Information you will need:

  • Copies of your most recent credit card statement(s) are requested
  • Last month's pay stubs
  • Knowledge of monthly living expenses (mortgage/rent, groceries, utilities, etc.)

At the end of your free budgeting counseling session, you will leave with a copy of the budget CCCSSA helped you develop as well as an action plan that outlines your next steps in the financial process.

To get started, please call CCCSSA at 210-979-4300 or 1-800-410-2227 toll-free.
