Dear GAIS Community,
Join us this upcoming Saturday at the traditional GAIS Easter Picnic and Easter Egg Hunt @ Werders Shelter in Huddart Park, Redwood City. Help to create a logo for the 25th Anniversary by handing in your art work to the GAIS office. Support the GAIS Annual Fund 2013-14 and make a donation today. 1. GAIS Annual Fund 2013-14: Make your donation today!
The Annual Fund Campaign at GAIS is underway and w e would like to thank all the families that already made a contribution. We are off to a great start! Our goal for the 2014 annual fund drive is to have the most successful year yet - in income and in participation.
Like many independent schools, GAIS strives to maintain competitive tuition rates. In order to accomplish this, the school relies on donations from its families to close the gap between tuition income and overall expenses. This school year, as in previous years, all GAIS families are being asked to contribute $750 per student to the annual fund. Your donation allows GAIS to fund existing programs and offer new benefits for our students. And, unlike tuition, contributions are tax-deductible.
And don't forget to decorate the foam hand you received in the mail and return it to school. We'll add what you love about GAIS to the mural!

2. GAIS Easter Picnic & Easter Egg Hunt - Reminder!
We are looking forward to this year's Easter Picnic & Easter Egg Hunt. Please do not forget to (1) bring 12 filled and taped plastic Easter Eggs to the office by latest Friday, March 28, 12:00pm and (2) to
specify in the sign up sheet below, which dish you will bring to the Easter picnic

4. GAIS 25th Anniversary Logo Contest
Please continue to send in great ideas. Remember:
1) that the design will be on all GAIS merchandise (e.g. T-shirts, water bottles) and used for a long time,
2) there is a prize waiting for the winner,
3) end of the contest is April 7, 2014.

5. GAIS Art Exhibition @ Cafe Zoë - Last chance!
This week is your last chance to see our kids displayed at Cafe Zoe, Menlo Park. Thank you Kathleen Daly and your team to host GAIS student's Art Work for another full month. This week the IMS student's Art Work is being displayed.
6. Hort during Spring Break 2014 & ISD 2014
If you need hort during Spring Break (April 14-18) and for the Teacher-in-Service Day (ISD) on April 21, please make sure to email Uschi Waite at uwaite@gais.org as soon as possible as spots fill up quickly. Thank you!
7. Call for Volunteers - English Book Fair - May 5-9, 2014

The next Board Meeting takes place on Thursday, March 27 with the Open Session starting at 7:30pm.
9. GAIS Easter Picnic 2014 - March 29
Join us! Our traditional GAIS Easter Picnic takes place this upcoming Saturday, March 29, 2014 from 11:00am until 3:00pm at the Werder Shelter Picnic Area in Huddart Park (https://parks.smcgov.org/werder-shelter). The Easter Egg Hunt takes place at 12:00pm. Read more here:
10. Preview: IMS Concert - April 10 & May 3
 Mark Your Calendars! The Music Program at GAIS is having a Spring Concert on Thursday evening, April 10, 2014 at 7:00pm. Come enjoy fun music performed by the Wind Ensemble, Concert Band, and Jazz Band. Finally, come join us at Santa Teresa High School on Saturday, May 3, 2014, as we compete in California's Great America Music in the Parks Festival! Nothing is better than music, middle schoolers, and roller coasters!"
