Dear GAIS Parents,
Unfortunately, we had reported cases of lice at school. As there are siblings in other classes, we kindly ask you to check all of your children (see picture below) and to immediately notify us, if any lice or nits have been found.
The only way to deal with it is to understand the problem and its treatment and keep the school community informed of when it occurs so we can all work together. To lessen the impact of head lice in our school, we have adopted a no-nit policy. A child found to have head lice or nits needs to be picked up from school, receive appropriate treatment and may not return to school until all lice and nits are removed.
There are several 'lice' specialists in the Bay Area. One specific was brought to our attention for its great services through one of our parents:
