2. Head Lice - Important!

Unfortunately, we had several other reported cases at school since last week. We kindly ask ALL PARENTS to check their child/children and to immediately notify us, if any lice or nits have been found! Thank you for your collaboration. Please also refer to our GAIS Handbook (page 43) in our Downloads Section.
3. Theater Plays at GAIS this week
Twelve GAIS students take to the stage this Thursday, December 13, 2012, at 8:30am and Friday, December 14, 2012, at 2:15pm in the first semester's Theater Club program. Parents are encouraged to attend either or both of these performances and support our ever ambitious GAIS theater program!
In "Henry Meiggs wanted to die for his sins," eight 3rd and 4th graders play themselves acting in a historical fiction portrayal of 19th century San Francisco businessman Henry Meiggs. It's a history lesson, to be sure, but also comedy as the actors balk at playing in a serious drama, and create their own theater instead!
Four IMS students tackle a collection of short scenes in a fifteen minute program that plays only on Thursday, following the "Henry Meiggs" presentation. The four middle school scenes include a "Mark Twain" duet, a monologue, and two other two-minute scenes.
