GENERAL
1. Open Classroom Day 2012 - success!
The Open Classroom Day 2012 was a big success! Not only did many visitors take the opportunity to visit our Campus and attend either the Info Sessions or Parent Talks but also they took the chance to directly talk to our Managing Director, Dominic Liechti, or one of our Principals and Teachers to get a deeper insight of GAIS. It was a wonderful event that was well organized thanks to many people - without the help and support of the whole GAIS Team and especially all the GAIS Volunteers and Alumni's we could not have made it such a great and successful day.
THANK YOU ALL FOR YOUR HELP - this is real "GAIS-Spirit"!
2. Picture Days 2012 - pictures have arrived
The pictures of the Picture Days 2012 have been delivered. Dagmar Stullich has sorted them out and put them into your personal folders for pick-up. Thank you Dagmar for your work!
3. Missing Saxophone - please bring back to office

Despite a big search operation Daniel Hausen's beloved saxophone is still missing. In case you have accidentally taken it with you please return it to the office. Following is a short description: Vito Alto Sax 7131R Serial number 55940, the yellow name tag came off. It has a special broad black neck strap with a self-made black soft fabric cover of the strap, velvety. Black case. Thank you for your help.
4. GAIS Foerderverein - great holiday present

Most families probably do not know that GAIS has an association in Germany that is dedicated to the development and support of our school. The GAIS Förderverein is a great way to stay in touch with both our school and the GAIS families who have returned to Europe. Donations made to the GAIS Förderverein will be directly donated to the German-American International School. Last year the Förderverein submitted more than 1'000 Euros.
You might want to let your friends and family know that they can support our school also from Germany, Austria and Switzerland by becoming a member in the GAIS Förderverein or with a donation that is tax deductible in Germany. This might be just the meaningful holiday present people are looking for! To learn more about the GAIS Förderverein and for membership applications or donations please contact AndreasDorsel@t-online.de or visit our website: http://www.gais.org/gais-foerderverein/
