MSJ Development Raises over $200K!! Great News!! With your help, MSJ Development raised over $200,000 for the 2012-2013 year!!  Thanks so much to all who contributed to help make an MSJ education as affordable as possible for all who wish to have it!! The MSJ Community is awesome!! 
 Honor Our Past  - July 25th, 2013   The  Fifth Annual Honor Our Past event, to  benefit Rutland Catholic Schools, will be held on July 25, 2013 at the Mountain  Top Inn.  Cocktails will be served at 6pm, followed by dinner at 7pm.   Tickets are  $75 per person.   This  year we  will be honoring Michael McCormack ('69) for his commitment to  both  MSJ and CKS as  well as to the greater Rutland   area through his  generous gift of service.     Our  unsung heroes will be the Les ('50) and  Barbara ('48) Eno, and their sons Edward ('75)  and Joe ('74) for their  untiring volunteerism and commitment to the students of  MSJ and CKS.   We  will present a new award, the Rutland Cathollic Schools   Spirit Award, to the Dr. David (deceased) and Paulie Austin family, including Dr. Judy   Austin Strohbehn ('80), Bonnie Austin, J.D. ('82),   Bridget  Austin-Denhoy ('83), David  Austin ('86), and Father Luke  Austin, J.D.  ('94).    There will also be a Silent  Auction of some great items. Look for a   list on www.msjvermont.org.  | STUDENT NEWSMSJ Student Athletes Volunteer at Relay For Life A number of MSJ student athletes, under the supervision of Coach Jeff Cassarino, volunteered their time to set up for the recent Relay for Life in Rutland to benefit the American Cancer Society.   This year it was held on June 22nd and raised $191,117.76!   Summer Camps Theater Camp from July 29th-August 2nd at MSJ from 12pm-4pm for Grades 5-11  for $100 with Mrs. Jessica Bride Audette. Track Team Brings Home State Championship
 
Members of the MSJ women's track team won the 4 x 100 meter relay Division IV state championship! Congratulations to Abigail Miglorie, Bethany Miglorie, Megan Eaton, and Monica Schmelzenbach. On the men's side, Sophomore Kyle Diezel is the Division IV state champion for the 200 meter and 400 meter events! The men's team almost took home the combined team championship, finishing a close second. Baseball Team Concludes Fantastic Season
 The MSJ baseball team had a season to remember. A few weeks ago, they handed eventual Division II Champion, Otter Valley, its only loss! In the playoffs, the Mounties reached the semifinals where they lost to powerhouse Danville. Look for this young Mountie team to compete for the championship again next year!   Mounties Named To All-MVL Teams The All Marble Valley Teams were recently announced. Matt Sanborn, Collin Gilbert and Lincoln Pritchard for baseball and Hannah Farrow for softball. For theAll MVL Tennis team, Jessica Bruso and Alex Reedy made the team. 
We also had some honorable mentions: Zach Lanzillo for baseball and Maddie Cornell, Abby Harvey, Kaitlynn Protivansky, and Emma Shouldice for softball.     
North-South Games
 
Hannah Farrow was selected to play for the South Senior Softball team in  the North-South games played at Castelton College on June 20-30. Maddie  Cornell was selected as an alternate. |

 | UPCOMING  EVENTSMSJ To Host Monthly Breakfasts Mount  Saint Joseph Academy will be hosting a breakfast on the last Sunday of  each month. The cost will be only $8.00 per person. Eggs, bacon,  pancakes, coffee,  etc. will be offered. The breakfast will begin  at 8:00 a.m. and end  at 12:00 p.m. All are encouraged to stop down and  enjoy a meal with  family and friends! The proceeds will benefit the MSJ  scholarship fund.

Contact Kathy Bove: kbove@msjvermont.org.     1967 Reunion! The Class of 1967 is planning a reunion for the weekend of August 23rd and 24th. There will be a get-together on Friday evening, August 23rd, details to follow. On Saturday morning, August 24th there will be a Mass at St. Peter's Church at 9:30am for our deceased classmates and a tour of MSJ will follow. The evening celebration will be at the Summit Lodge in Killington. The Class of 1968 will be having their class reunion this August 9th and 10th. Members of the MSJ Class of 1973 are planning a reunion for July 27, 2013 at the Palms Restaurant in Rutland, VT (note this is a change in venue). An informal gathering will take place on Friday, July 26th atthe Rutland Country Club.
