MSJ RECEIVES SMALL AND INSPIRING GRANT FROM THE VERMONT COMMUNITY FOUNDATION

MSJ has been notified that it is the recipient of a Small and Inspiring Grant. This project is new to the Rutland area as well as the MSJ Community, and will support Diversity and Equity professional development among our teachers, administrators and staff. Our goal is to position MSJ to be a leader in the Rutland Community in the area of bias reduction. We believe this will lead to not only bias reduction, but a larger ranging collaboration with local community leaders both in the public sector and within the greater Rutland community.

CORPORATE INTERNSHIP PROGRAM
MSJ is in its second year of its work-study Corporate Internship Program designed to benefit students, MSJ and the Rutland Community. Through this program, MSJ continues to build on its long tradition of meeting the needs of both the students it serves and of the local community. The CIP partners students with corporations and agencies in the Rutland area to provide qualified students with the added experience of working in a stimulating environment.  The goals of the MSJ CIP include providing a meaningful work-study experience; integrating college preparatory academic work into the experience of work; partnering with the Rutland corporate community; enhancing MSJ's presence in the local community; and increasing MSJ scholarship funds. If your business is interested in becoming a sponsor, please contact the development office or Keturah Tallon, the MSJ Guidance Counselor and Faculty Coordinator of CIP, or Frank Trombetta, the Business Community Liaison.
