To Sequester or Not To Sequester, What Are the Options? The Congressional Research Service has compiled a report on the various proposals that have been floated to avert sequestration, including those from the White House and Congress.
Thursday
Insure the Uninsured Project (ITUP's) 17th Annual Conference, "ACA: The Final Countdown," will take place Tuesday, February 5, 2013 at the Sacramento Convention Center.
Friday
The Obama administration moved forward Tuesday to implement provisions in the health care law that would make it illegal for insurance companies to discriminate against people with pre-existing conditions. The provisions of the Affordable Care Act also would make it easier for consumers to compare health plans and employers to promote and encourage employee wellness. Health Insurance Exchanges: For Other States, it's Decision Time. For California, it's nearing time to implement.
Monday
Workforce Education and Training (WET) Advisory Committee (WET Advisory Committee) will be meeting on Monday, December 3, 2012 from 1:00 - 5:00 pm. WET programs are funded by Proposition 63, the Mental Health Services Act. This meeting is open to the public and there will be an opportunity to provide public comment at the conclusion of the meeting.
