Jul. 27 worship service
 | Summer Minister Eve Stevens
|
This Sunday's sermon, Growing a Soul: A. Powell Davies and the UUCF Origin Story, is the next installment in Eve Steven's series about the beginnings of Unitarian Universalism and UUCF.
The ministry of Rev. Dr. A. Powell Davies at All Souls Church Unitarian in Washington, DC, in the 1950s led to an explosion of Unitarian churches in the DC area, including UUCF in 1955. Rev. Davies' sermons, published in The Washington Post, spoke to a generation of people searching for a liberal religious home.
The service will also include glimpses into UUCF history and what the services and the congregation were like in the early days.

OES parking tips
Many Sundays we reach capacity in the Oakton Elementary School lot. Instead of driving around frustrated, why not follow these parking tips: - Come early!
- Keep our visitors, newcomers and mobility challenged friends in mind. Leave spaces for them by parking behind the school on Miller Road or in the PNC Bank lot. It's an easy walk.
- For latecomers, go directly to tip #2!
- If you're trying to minimize the time you spend in the hard OES seats by arriving late, feel free to bring a cushion and ... see tip #1!
