Special Congregational Meeting
 The UUCF Board of Directors has approved a proposed Climate Change Resolution for a congregational vote and has set a special congregational meeting for this purpose. Click here to read the resolution. Paper copies will be available at this weekend's services. The meeting will also include a short report on the Reach Campaign. The meeting should take about 45 minutes.
For members who would like to vote on this important congregational resolution but are unable to attend, absentee ballots are now available in the UUCF office and will be available at the Climate Action Group table in the Commons after this weekend's Saturday service and Sunday, 9:15 a.m., service. For those who can attend, we appreciate your participation, as a quorum is required for us to take a vote.
NOTE: Nursery and child care is available during the meeting. Reserve child care by emailing Child Care Coordinator, Emily Ordun. Parents should pick their children up from RE, take them to the Preschool Pod and sign them in.

The Concept of the Afterlife Under the Lens of Science, Reason & Religion. Sunday Forum-Science, Reason & Religion. While the concept of the "afterlife" has been a ubiquitous feature of the human experience, more recently it has left the exclusive domain of religion and come under scrutiny by secular philosophers and scientists, particularly by medical researchers and cosmologists. Their work provides new perspectives on ancient religious views and a better understanding of the writings of the new atheists of the 21st Century.

We'll explore two aspects of leadership at UUCF: Pastoral care as a part of leadership - how leaders can offer informal pastoral care to people on our teams and help them connect to UUCF resources; and team-based problem solving - we'll discuss Susan Beaumont's article What's the Problem? about the process of teams defining problems to build team spirit and solve problems.
