For the past year, your Board of Directors has created and refined a long-term vision for the strength and vitality of our congregation. Many of you provided input to this vision in recent focus groups. This weekend, at our Sunday worship services, Mary Katherine and I will discuss this vision, and after services the Board will ask for your vote to move forward with a stewardship campaign to fund this vision.
I invite you to read the Board's progress report on the vision, that we developed after incorporating your feedback, before you attend services this weekend. That progress report has a fuller statement of the vision with more details than Mary Katherine or I will be able to cover during the services, so it is important to take the time to read it. The voting process will proceed as follows: Immediately after each service on Sunday, please remain seated in the Sanctuary where ballots will be distributed to you. Completed ballots will be collected as you leave the Sanctuary. If you have questions as you consider your vote, members of the Board will be in the Sanctuary to answer questions one-on-one. If you are teaching Religious Exploration, Board members will come to a central location in the Program Building (Chapel or lobby) with ballots and copies of the Board's presentation, and will be available to answer questions as you consider your vote. If you are only able to attend Saturday's service, the Board will meet you in the Music Room after the service to give you an opportunity to vote.
For those of you unable to attend any of the services this weekend, the Board would still like your input on the vision. You can send your feedback to board@uucf.org. Thank you, - David Addis, President, UUCF Board of Directors |
