Iowa Caucus, State Legislative Coverage Planned Feb. 1
paper ballots
The first official voting in the presidential race takes place in Iowa on Monday, Feb. 1. KGOU will bring you NPR's special coverage of the Iowa caucuses that evening, beginning at 8 p.m. CT. Caucus results will be augmented by reports from NPR's correspondents at key locations and analysis from Mara Liasson, Ron Elving and others. This will be the first of several election specials throughout the primary season, including one on 'Super Tuesday' on March 1 in which Oklahoma voters cast ballots.

Oklahoma Capitol
Feb. 1 also marks the opening of the Oklahoma legislative session with the governor's State of the State address. KGOU is working on coverage plans for the speech, in which Gov. Fallin will outline her priorities for the coming session. We are planning to bring listeners the speech in its entirety -- stay tuned for broadcast time. And you'll be hearing and reading
our news coverage of state matters throughout the 2016 session.
