StateImpact Oklahoma Explores Oil and Earthquakes on Reveal
illustration Reveal, the new radio program from the Center for Investigative Reporting and PRX, will spend an hour exploring energy production as KGOU's Sunday Radio Matinee on June 14 at noon. From North Dakota to Oklahoma, Texas and Washington, the program will look at how hydraulic fracturing -- fracking -- has opened new realms of oil and gas production, albeit not without some complex consequences.

On KGOU you've been hearing StateImpact Oklahoma reporter Joe Wertz uncovering the link scientists believe exists between the oilpatch and the exponential increase in earthquakes; he's one of the reporters featured on this episode of Reveal. Brush up with Joe's takeaways from the latest earthquake research.

NPR News Series: The Truth About America's Graduation Rate
black mortarboard This year, President Obama and Education Secretary Arne Duncan are hailing the nation's 81 percent high school graduation rate as a milestone -- the highest ever. NPR's Education desk and 14 local station reporters take a hard look at what that number means -- and the good, bad, and ambiguous causes behind the increase.

What good things are policy makers doing to help at-risk students cross the stage? And what questionable strategies are being employed to keep graduation numbers moving in the right direction? The on-air and online series is set for next week on Morning Edition and All Things Considered.
