Listener Callout: Recollections of the Murrah Bombing
The 20th anniversary of one of the most horrendous acts in Oklahoma's history will be a time of remembering and reflecting. The April 19, 1995 bombing of the Murrah Federal Building in downtown Oklahoma City represents the worst act of domestic terrorism on U.S. soil, but it also represents a community responding in a way many hold as the gold standard.

KGOU and our public radio partners are teaming up to present a comprehensive collection of stories to mark the anniversary, and we need your help. Did you feel or see the detonation? Where were you when you heard the news? How were you called upon to help in the aftermath? How were you affected?

If you are willing to share your memories and stories from that day and the impact on your life, we'd like to hear from you. We'll be recording listeners' recollections on a specially dedicated phone line -- (405) 325-8700 -- and sharing them on the air and online. If you know someone with a story to tell, encourage them to call, too.
We Want Your Feedback on Invisibilia
Invisibilia logo The six-episode pilot of Invisibilia has aired, and now we want to know what listeners thought of the engaging new science-meets-storytelling show from NPR. Co-hosted by Lulu Miller and Alix Spiegel, the pilot series aired on KGOU during our Sunday Radio Matinee over the last six weeks. If you didn't hear it, or missed some episodes, you can listen here.

What did/do you think of it? The Twitterverse has been full of mini reviews -- you can join the conversation by including the hashtag #invisibilia. Tweet your thoughts @kgounews or send an email to programming@kgou.org.

Brooke's background in local arts and culture is impressive, and she brings her knowledge to KGOU's OneSix8 local arts and entertainment blog, featured weekly at KGOU.org. She has some great ideas on local events and activities for any free time you might have.
