Great Giveaways!

illustration As I'm browsing recipes for Thanksgiving gatherings I'm also compiling my list of things -- and people -- I'm thankful for. You are on that list.

You provide the purpose for what we do here at KGOU, by listening to or reading what we report or present. And you make it possible for us to do what we do, with your financial support and your interest in "all things". Thank you.

And no, I'm not tackling a Turducken this year (or ever!) but maybe one of these beautiful fall fruit dishes....

Thanks for subscribing to the KGOU e-Newsletter. Send feedback to the editor at membership@kgou.org.

All the best,

Giving Tuesday: Count KGOU In!
December 2 In recent years many community-minded individuals have sought to counter the materialism of Black Friday and Cyber Monday with a similarly designated day to support non-profit organizations. This is also the time of year that many are looking to maximize tax benefits with charitable giving.

We know there are many worthy organizations doing good throughout our communities, and we hope you count KGOU as one. Keeping the community informed is a service we undertake daily, and a service we could not perform without support from listeners. Make your donation online on Giving Tuesday, Dec. 2 or anytime through the end of the year.

Oklahoma Voices: State of the Economy

On Oklahoma Voices next Monday, Nov. 24, we'll bring you that panel discussion featuring economics professors Russell Evans, Robert Dauffenbach, Dan Rickman and Mickey Hepner on local and regional economies.

The following Monday, Dec. 1, we feature a lecture on the national economy presented at the same Chamber event by Dr. Lawrence Chimerine, president of Radnor International Consulting, whose 50 years of economic experience has served the Economic Strategy Institute and corporate giants McGraw Hill, Chase Econometrics and IBM. Tune in Mondays at 11 a.m. or listen on-demand at KGOU.org.
