On Being Wraps Civil Conversations Series
On Being recently wrapped up the second season of its Civil Conversations Project, bringing together different voices on subjects that are typically very polarizing: abortion, same-sex marriage, and morality as applied in economic crisis. Rather than focus on the far ends of the spectrum, host Krista Tippett and guests waded into the vast area in the middle, where most believers fall. Audio and video of the conversations are available here.

Giving Thanks for Can-Free Cooking
Cooks love a way to reduce the time spent in the kitchen during the busy holiday season. But Kitchen Window's Peter Ogburn says even the most accomplished among us take unnecessary short cuts when it comes to preparing the Big Meal, and he shows us we can do better than cans of cranberry sauce, pumpkin and cream of mushroom soup for Thanksgiving. Recipes for traditional fare like dressing, cranberry relish and pumpkin pie are at NPR.org.
