As we Muslims mark the month of Ramadhan with fasting and charity, we were horrified by the killing of 49 innocent lives and more than 50 wounded in Orlando, Florida on Sunday June 12, 2016. 

SIJNY and its members strongly condemn this violent act on innocent people and condemn those that use the peaceful religion of Islam for their own twisted ideology. There is nothing Islamic about killing innocent people.

Our thoughts and prayers for the victims and their families of this senseless tragedy.
