Christmas Tree Safety Tips
As you deck the halls this holiday season, be fire smart. A small fire that spreads to a Christmas tree can grow large very quickly.
Here are a few tips from our Fire Department:
1. Place the tree at least 3 feet from a heat source
2. Do not allow the tree to block an exit
3. Water fresh trees daily
4. Check lights for safety information and proper placement
5. Replace any worn light strands
6. Never use lit candles to decorate a tree
7. Always turn off lights before bed or leaving the house

Anna Branding Redesign Community Survey
The City is undergoing a branding redesign. The branding redesign is more than just a logo makeover - it is a comprehensive process resulting in a complete marketing strategy and a tangible community identify. In order to accomplish this task, the City has partnered with a Nashville-based company, North Star Destination Strategies. North Star has helped develop brands for more than 200 cities, regions, communities and municipalities nationwide, including McKinney and Frisco.
This is where we need your help! The branding redesign process is a community-wide effort. This week, we will be releasing a community-wide survey. The survey is an important component to our community research and branding initiative. As a member of the community, this is your opportunity to let your voice be heard. Your input in this process is vital in helping the community understand what makes Anna, TX appealing to key audiences. By giving your opinion, you help shape the direction the community will take in promoting itself moving forward.
Please keep your eye out for the link to our survey later this week!
