A Letter from Your Pastoral Coordinator

As our 2016 Annual Catholic Appeal is coming to a close, we thank the 350 donors who have pledged $107,569 as of June 15, 2016, reaching 90% of the $118, 416 goal established for the parish by the Seattle Archdiocese. That leaves us with a shortfall of $10,847.

If we don't reach our goal, we will have to remit the difference from our parish operating reserve.  We fell short in 2015 and paid the difference from the operating reserve.  If we all do our part, we can reach our requirement this year and avoid having to pay the shortage to the Archdiocese from our operating reserve.

Have we heard from you? If we haven't heard from you, we ask that you join with us in support of this very worthwhile campaign. Your gift will make an impact on many lives in Western Washington.

No gift is too small. If you're unsure what to give, please consider a gift of $1 a day or $365 or more. If you are unable to contribute financially at this time, we still want to hear from you and ask you to please consider pledging your prayers.

Help us reach our goal before the end of June. Discern your gift and make your financial pledge or pledge of prayer today!

Sincerely Yours in Christ,

Kevin Lovejoy
Pastoral Coordinator

Next weekend, June 25 - 25, 2016, the Seattle Archdiocese will take up the Peter's Pence Collection, which provides Pope Francis with the funds he needs to carry out his charitable works around the world. The proceeds benefit our brothers and sisters on the margins of society, including victims of war, oppression, and disasters. Join our Holy Father as a witness of charity to those who are suffering.

A Message from Sr. Marilyn

Dear all of Saint Patrick School and Parish,

There are no words that would adequately express my deep gratitude to each of you. These many years of being in your presence in the Parish and in the School have been so blessed in myriads of ways, both to me personally and to my Dominican Community.

Please know that you are in my prayers forever. Please pray for me too! I will still be in the parish and hope to continue to see you all.

Lovingly in St. Dominic,

Sr. Marilyn, O.P

As we continue to grow in our understanding and appreciation of the role of the laity in the Church and especially lay leaders at Saint Patrick Catholic Church, our staff realized that we need to do a better job of recognizing these leaders.  We did just that the weekend of June 11 - 12, 2016.
