I am grateful that Chris Kradjan has led our School Commission this school year as President. Chris' leadership has been instrumental in our success and the direction of St. Patrick School. I have asked Chris to share his thoughts as he reflects on the work of the Commission as we near the end of the school year.
Please take a minute and read his Blarney Stone letter.
Peace, Chris Gavin
Dear Families,
Last week you will have read from Chris Gavin that the St. Patrick School Commission is seeking people to step forward to run for election to serve over the next three years. As the current President, I can share that the School Commission is a vibrant group of elected members that are fortunate enough to work closely with Chris Gavin and the faculty in making important decisions on behalf of the school.
The School Commission is an active working committee, and its members offer their diverse talents to advance the St. Patrick School. In my time on the School Commission, we have been involved to finalize a long-range plan, select a new principal, provide input on new curriculum and operational changes, support the accreditation process, help align more closely with the parish and community, develop a facilities plan, review policy, and strengthen the school budget. In the coming years, we can anticipate exciting developments with the school curriculum, continuing strides in academic excellence, completion of the accreditation process, and a refresh to the strategic plan and bylaws. This on top of wonderful ideas and recommendations brought forward every year by the School Commission.
The strength of our committed families and community help us to be the amazing school that we are. It is a special privilege to serve St. Patrick School as a member of the School Commission, and I would like to publically thank my fellow commissioners for their service to the school as well as the many volunteers who have made the school year a productive one.
Chris Kradjan
School Commission President

Spring Musical
Saint Patrick School Drama Dept
presents their Spring Musical
BUGSY MALONE!
Dozens of Saint Pat's student actors and crew members, led by a team of adult designers and Bellarmine Drama Student Interns, have combined forces to present the fantastically-fun, approved-for-all-ages musical BUGSY MALONE for three performances only: May 20 and 21 at 7 pm; May 22 at 2 pm.
All performances will take place at Bellarmine Preparatory School (McAstocker Theatre)
IT'S A COSTUME PARTY!
All audience members - young AND old - are invited to come dressed as Wise Guys and Flappers and share in the fun of BUGSY MALONE, the hilarious spoof of 1920s Prohibition-era speakeasies and gangsters. (All violin cases will be inspected at the door.)
Based on the 1976 film starring the very young Scott Baio and Jodie Foster, with music written by Paul Williams of The Muppet Movie fame, two gangs comprised completely of children, square off in a 1920's rivalry of Capone-ian standards. Dandy Dan's gang has gotten the upper hand since obtaining the "splurge" gun and now Fat Sam and his bumbling buffoons are in real trouble! Bugsy Malone, a one-time boxer, is thrust not-so-willingly into the gangster limelight, when he becomes the last chance that Fat Sam's gang has of surviving. But all Bugsy really wants to do is spend time with his new love Blousey, and that just ain't in the cards for our hero.
