Why do Catholics Light Votive Candles?

At Saint Patrick Catholic Church we have placed a votive candle stand near the Marian altar for parishioners who wish to light a candle in prayer. This is part of the continued effort to provide parishioners more opportunities for prayer and devotion to our Lord.

The celebrations of Lent, Triduum, and Easter, as well as liturgies throughout the year are planned and implemented by a small group of parish leaders and many parish volunteers.

There is still time to support the Dominican Sisters of Tacoma.

Make your donation today.  Your thoughtful contribution to their continued care is appreciated.

Thank you to those who have already fulfilled your Annual Catholic Appeal pledge! The 2015 Appeal is wrapping up and so are final payments.
If you haven't yet fulfilled your full 2015 pledge please do so by April 10, 2016, otherwise Saint Patrick Catholic Church may have to pay the resulting shortage from our parish savings account.
