The Green Scene

Green New American Vegetarian

You can veg out and reduce your carbon footprint at these healthy Tempe restaurants offering truly tasty vegetarian and vegan dishes.

Green New American Vegetarian is strictly vegan/vegetarian that features new American-style comfort food.  24 Carrots is a gem of a vegetarian restaurant that is also known for fabulous mixed fruit juices, marvelous smoothies and food that is made from scratch daily. Though little in size, Desert Roots Kitchen offers a mighty breakfast and lunch menu which changes daily. While not strictly vegetarian, Essence Bakery offers several dishes that will pass muster with the most ardent vegetarian. It's impossible to resist the temptations of the pastry case which beckons with its array of sumptuous confections, including the most decadent French macaroons and  croissants this side of the Eiffel Tower.
