In the film Chava Rosenfarb, noted Yiddish writer and major Holocaust literary figure, discusses her life in Lodz before the war, her years in the Lodz Ghetto, in Auschwitz and Bergen-Belsen, and her career as a writer in Montreal. This film is an unscripted interview between Anna Fishman Gonshor and Rosenfarb just before the writer's passing, enhanced by photo stills and music.
A panel discussion will follow the screening with Josh Waletzky, director; Anna Fishman Gonshor, interviewer; Goldie Morgentaler, Rosenfarb's daughter and Kathryn Hellerstein, translator of Rosenfarb's poetry in the film.
