Wind Chimes Installed to Assist Visually Impaired Students

Several wind chimes have been installed around the ACC campus in areas where visually impaired students do not have physical landmarks to find their way. ACC advisors thought about implementing the chimes after Texas A&M University had success with a similar program. Message from the President of ACC
On Saturday May 14, nearly 450 students graduated with degrees or certificates from Alvin Community College. Some of those students include dual degree graduates from our area high schools, completing their associate degree a few weeks prior to earning a high school diploma. Other students were returning adults coming back to college or coming to the college for the first time to make a better life for themselves and their families. The graduation speakers at both ceremonies were inspirational and provided a glimpse of the challenges our students face in attending college. Graduation is always a special day for faculty, staff, students and their family and friends. We are proud of our graduates and all of their accomplishments.

Congratulations graduates!

Fins Up!
