PIZZA WITH THE KIWANIS NIGHT - IS MEMBERSHIP FOR YOU?
Kiwanis

The Kiwanis of Hudson invites you to come on down to Pizza Night with the Kiwanis on Monday, February 4th from 6:30PM to 8:30PM - Is membership for you?

What is Kiwanis and what do they do??

Kiwanis is a global organization of volunteers dedicated to changing the world, one child and one community at a time. Kiwanians are volunteers changing the world through service to children and communities. Kiwanis members help shelter the homeless, feed the hungry, mentor the disadvantaged, and care for the sick. They develop youth as leaders, build playgrounds, raise funds for pediatric research, and much more. No problem is too big or too small. Why? Because working together, members achieve what one person cannot accomplish alone. When you give a child a chance to learn, experience, dream, and succeed, great things happen! Every day, Kiwanians are revitalizing neighborhoods, organizing youth-sports programs, planting trees, playgrounds, and performing countless other projects to help children and communities.

The Hudson Kiwanis Club members gave more than 1000 hours and have raised and donated more than $50,000 last year for projects such Bicycle Safety Day, Relay For Life, College Scholarships as well as local youth sports, Hudson PumpkinFest, Hudson Girls Softball, education programs and local children's organizations.

The Hudson Kiwanis Club sponsors the Alvirne High School Key Club and the Campbell High School Key Club which have combined over 120 members and have done many projects for the community such as Make A Wish fundraiser dinners, Clothing drives, Unicef, and Thanksgiving Baskets for the less fortunate. Our mission is to serve children of the world. We have about 8,000 clubs in 96 countries, more than 260,000 adult members and approximately 320,000 youth.  The Hudson Kiwanis meets on the first and third Mondays of the month 7PM at Hudson Kiwanis Hall. Come on down enjoy a pizza and a beverage and ask some questions. If interested and you cannot make it please contact President Mike Falzone at holkarent@aol.com, or 603-880-1516.

They are also considering sponsoring a new Nashua Kiwanis Club.

DARTMOUTH-HITCHCOCK NASHUA'S ENDOSCOPY SUITE ACHIEVES AAAHC ACCREDITATION

Dartmouth Hitchcock

Dartmouth-Hitchcock Nashua's Endoscopy Suite has achieved recognition from the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care (AAAHC). Accreditation distinguishes Dartmouth-Hitchcock Nashua's Endoscopy Suite from many other outpatient facilities for providing the highest quality of care to patients. This recognition means that Dartmouth-Hitchcock Nashua's Endoscopy Suite has met nationally recognized standards for the provision of quality health care set by AAAHC. More than 5,000 ambulatory health care organizations across the United States are accredited by AAAHC.

Dartmouth-Hitchcock Nashua's state-of-the-art Endoscopy Suite opened this past spring. The Suite allows gastroenterologists to perform screening and diagnostic colonoscopies, upper gastrointestinal endoscopies, and more, on site, at Dartmouth Hitchcock Nashua's one healthy location. "The Endoscopy Suite is a high quality ambulatory center which provides low cost, high value endoscopic care for patients " said Carol Townsend, RN Endoscopy Clinical Manager.

Ambulatory health care organizations seeking accreditation by AAAHC undergo an extensive self-assessment and on-site survey by AAAHC expert surveyors - physicians, nurses, and administrators who are actively involved in ambulatory health care. The survey is consultative and educational, presenting best practices to help an organization improve its care and services.

"Going through the accreditation process challenged us to find better ways to serve our patients, and is a constant reminder that quality needs to be first and is an essential cornerstone in our culture" said Townsend. "This Accreditation is a reflection of how much we care about our patients and want the best for them."
