Greetings!
 Our second annual Write Michigan short story contest garnered nearly 900 entries from writers across the state -- nearly double our first year. After a judging period that utilized nearly 100 library staffers, celebrity judges and you, we're ready to announce this year's winners. For a complete list and to read their masterpieces , click here.Next month, I'll share details about the Write Michigan awards ceremony and the unveiling of the second annual anthology, at 2:00 PM on Saturday, March 22 at the Kentwood (Richard L.  You're invited to CelebrationCinema! North on Saturday, February 22 from 10:30 AM to 1:00 PM for the Kent County Teen Film Festival, where we will be screening works by the area's most creative teens.

During the month of February, all KDL branches will collect new socks and underwear for all ages in support of Family Promise, a local agency dedicated to helping homeless families. |
