One Great Hour of Sharing

We will continue taking the One Great Hour of Sharing denominational offering on Easter Sunday, April 20.

From now through Easter our primary mission focus will be One Great Hour of Sharing.  Since 1949 Presbyterians have joined with millions of other Christians through One Great Hour of Sharing to share God's love with our neighbors-in-need around the world. Your generous gifts to this Special Offering help provide relief to those affected by natural disasters, provide food to the hungry, and assist in helping to empower the poor and oppressed.  Over the next few weeks through our Minute for Mission time you will be hearing more about the programs supported by One Great Hour of Sharing.  Disaster survivors who have lost everything and are left wondering what's next . . . volunteers from the pews who travel far to work in difficult conditions helping others . . . and immigrant small farmers who simply need an opportunity to pull themselves up out of poverty. All are people we are helping each time we give to the One Great Hour of Sharing (OGHS).  Our main offering focus will be Palm Sunday, along with the children who have been collecting for this in their "Fish" banks, and Easter Sunday, but of course donations designated to OGHS will be accepted gratefully throughout this time.  Update:  We have received $675.10 so far as of Palm Sunday.  Thank you!!!

From Teddy Bear CDC - In Support of Blaine Robinson

During the week of April 21-25, we will be honoring Blaine Robinson at Teddy Bear. Blaine started with us when he was just 3 years old and continued with us until he was a school age child along with his sister, Amanda. At Teddy Bear, we feel our past families will always be part of our family. So, we would like to show our support for Blaine and his family as he returns home on Saturday, April 26 for the Marching for Private Robinson 5k run/walk held in his honor. During that week, we will be collecting donations from anyone who is not already donating by participating in the 5k. We will also focus our activities around honoring Blaine and raising awareness of the help he needs. Some of our special activities that week will be Lego Day (Blaine's favorite thing to do at Teddy Bear), making pictures, sending good wishes, and making a Teddy Bear book to show Blaine and his family our support.

Please help us support Blaine and his family by making a donation that week! We will leave a donation jar downstairs on the desk in the hallway. THANK YOU!

Dear Family and Friends of Faith:

Thank you so much for the prayers, cards, kind words of support, and telephone calls at the time of my hip surgery and during my recuperation.  The beautiful rose bowl brightened the drab days of winter.  Our family was appreciative of Pastor Charles' visit and time of prayer at the hospital.  I am truly thankful for my Family of Faith.
