Wednesday Night Live!

It's that time of year to register for Wednesday Night Live.  WNL is a dynamic, fun-filled program loaded with opportunities for children in first through sixth grade.  It meets on Wednesdays from 3:20 to 6:00 p.m., starting on September 18 - November 20 for first semester and January 15 - March 19 for second semester.  Registration forms are available in the Faith Church office and in the Social Hall.  Fees this year remain the same as last year.

Fees
(yearly)
(per semester)

$40.00
$20.00
for 1st child
$30.00
$15.00
for 2nd child
$20.00
$10.00
for 3rd child
If you have four children in the program, the 4th child is free.

Fees are $2 per week.  They can be paid on a semester basis ($20), or an annual basis ($40).  Fees need to be paid upon registration. (They can also be paid on a weekly basis, but we prefer the semester and yearly payments.  Checks should be made to Faith U. P. Church.  Scholarships are available by contacting the WNL director at 734-5129.

September 11 will be a WNL family picnic at 5:15 - 6:00 p.m. for all interested children, their families, and any WNL volunteers.  The picnic meal will be provided at the Faith United Presbyterian Social Hall with an information meeting to follow.

There are lots of opportunities for volunteering for WNL.  We are in need of drivers, kitchen team, helpers, music, snacks, cooks, subs, and teachers.  See Deb Dingman if interested.  There will be a sign-up sheet in the Social Hall by the WNL bulletin board on Sunday mornings.  We also welcome donations for scholarships or supplies used at WNL.  Make checks out to Faith U. P. Church and designate WNL donation in the memo line.

I look forward to directing WNL this year and would appreciate prayers and any help you can offer.  If you know of children that might be interested, please pass the word along or give me their name and number so I can get registration info to them.  Thanks in advance!

Sharon Graham has had an article published in the August 2013 issue of the Presbyterian Women in the Presbytery of Great Rivers newsletter, Currents.  She writes about the subject of human trafficking in a well-researched piece,  "Life into Hope."  Called a 'must read' before the Fall Gathering, Sharon explains how the tragedy of human trafficking reaches closer to home than we might think.  Copies of her excellent article are available in the church office, or you can receive a forward of this issue of Currents by email.  Simply make a request to Vicki.
