What Is New this Year
All members will be receiving a High Holy Day information packet in the mail this week. New this year, all tickets will be scanned and a photo ID is required upon entry.
All Family Services require a separate ticket, different from the ticket to Congregational services. We ask that you read the material carefully and click here to go to our website for more information. All questions should be sent to membership@crsnyc.org. |

Share Your Rodeph Sholom Stories!
As you know, this fall we will be embarking on a year long celebration of our 175th anniversary. But in order to celebrate we need to hear from you! We are collecting stories from our congregants about their favorite "that's so Rodeph" moments. We plan on sharing them throughout the year on our website and other places.
We want to hear from you! Please click here and tell us your favorite anecdote, or what you love about CRS. |
New Moms' Group
When you have a newborn, the questions seem endless-and often, the answers seem distant. Join Hannah Lavan, LMSW, Rabbi Sari Laufer, and other new moms for an honest, intimate, and facilitated discussion group about the big questions and daily grind of (new) parenthood. Grounded in Jewish values, but open to all, it's a great way to meet new friends "in the neighborhood."
Pre-registration is requested; limited spaces available! For more information or to register, please contact Kelly Barrett at kbarrett@crsnyc.org.

Beyond the Red String: Golems, Dybbuks & the Superstitions We Believe
Rabbi Leora Kaye Lecture Series
Long before Freddie Krueger or the magical world of Harry Potter, the Talmud and the Jewish mystical tradition had plenty to say about demons, superstitions, and the fears that they expose. Rodeph Sholom's favorite mystic, Rabbi Leora Kaye, returns for our summer learning, sure to raise goosebumps, questions, and the occasional eyebrow or two.

High Holy Day Machzorim
There is still time to reserve book plates in our new High Holy Day machzorim in honor of a loved one or special occasion. As we adopt this new, more inclusive text, we are looking to the members of our congregation to help us finance the substantial cost of our new prayer books.
The machzorim come in a two volume set with one book for Rosh Hashanah and one for Yom Kippur. With a donation of $100, a book plate will be placed inside each book of the set and personalized with a special dedication of your choosing. To make a contribution, click here or contact Lyndsie Levine at 646-454-3050 or llevine@crsnyc.org. |
