Project Kehila: Flashlights for Ecuador

On April 16th, a 7.8 magnitude earthquake hit the coast of Ecuador, killing more than 600 people, injuring over 6,000, and leaving 29,000 people homeless.

Flashlights are needed for both the homeless and for the workers rebuilding. CRS and RSS, through Project Kehila, responds to natural disasters requiring immediate assistance.

Please donate new flashlights (and batteries if the flashlight doesn't come with batteries) during our short flashlight drive, June 6-9.

The donation box will be in the lobby of 7 West 83rd Street.

High Holy Day Machzorim

For the first time in 25 years, CRS will replace our High Holy Day machzorim. As we adopt this new, more inclusive text, we are looking to the members of our congregation to help us finance the substantial cost of our new prayer books.

The machzorim come in a two-volume set with one book for Rosh Hashanah and one for Yom Kippur.

With a donation of $100, a book plate will be placed inside each book of the set and personalized with a special dedication of your choosing.
