You are cordially invited to attend a celebration in honor of Cantor Emeritus Ephraim Biran on the occasion of his 90th birthday. There will be an Erev Shabbat Service in his honor in the Main Sanctuary at 6:00PM, followed by an Oneg in the Schafler Forum.

Volunteers will be sewing Days for Girls kit components. We are also knitting for the Shawl Ministry and Seamen's Church Institute. Beginners welcome as we are happy to teach people how to knit and sew.

St. Xavier's Soup Kitchen
We need 14 volunteers one Sunday a month from October-June to help prepare and serve meals to visitors at the St. Xavier's Soup Kitchen in Chelsea. All volunteers must be over the age of 14, and children under the age of 17 must be accompanied by an adult. To volunteer, sign up on VolunteerHub.

Backpack Buddies
Every week during the school year, our Backpack Buddies program provides a weekend backpack full of food to children in our neighborhood who receive free lunch and breakfast during the school week. Our partners in distribution are the Lincoln Square Neighborhood Center, and the Church of St. Matthew and St. Timothy. Click here to find out more.

Art of Cantillation
with Cantor Shayna De Lowe

Students will learn how to chant the ta'amei hamikra, the trope symbols used in the chanting of the Torah.

This group provides an opportunity to discuss issues unique to therapeutic work, focusing on how Jewish perspectives might be relevant to your practice.

Lunch Together

It's almost the end of the year - have you made your 2015 Appeal gift yet?
The last day for donations to qualify for a 2015 tax credit is December 31st. The Development Department will be closed beginning December 24th at 2 PM to January 4th but you may click here to make a secure online donation before midnight on the 31st.
You may also send a check, made payable to Congregation Rodeph Sholom, and postmarked by December 31st.
Finally, you have the option to add your pledge to your synagogue account - contact the Development Office at 646.454.3052 for assistance.
