A Message from Tirza
To My Dear Rodeph Sholom Community,
As some of you probably already know, I am retiring in June from my position as Director of Religious Education.
These have been 14 glorious years, under the guidance and mentorship of my friend and spiritual leader, Rabbi Robert Levine and with my partner in this holy endeavor of Jewish Education, Kerith Braunfeld. The evening in honor of my (and Michael's) retirement was magical and beyond what I ever could have imagined.
It has been an honor and privilege to have been a part of your children's and family's lives. You have all enriched my life as I hope I have enriched yours through my leadership.
The Rodeph Sholom community has become my family and will stay my family. Michael and I are looking forward to being able to take advantage of all New York City has to offer, and do the things I have always wanted to do, write, travel, spend more time with family, especially the grandchildren.
Thank you Rodeph Sholom; I will cherish my years here forever.

CRS Social Action Initiative:
E-Advocacy
June E-Advocacy Opportunity - Support the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities: The United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities ("CRPD") is an international effort to provide people with disabilities equality of opportunity, independent living, and economic self-sufficiency. The United States signed, but did not ratify, the CRPD. Our Jewish tradition commands us to be proactive in bringing down barriers society places in front of people with disabilities. For more information about this topic and to urge our Senators to support the CRPD, click here , enter your zip code, and submit a letter to your representatives.
On-going E-Advocacy: Sometimes e-advocacy opportunities arise that need quick action; legislative action will occur prior to our ability to inform you in our next monthly e-blast. If you would like to receive notification of these pressing e-advocacy issues,
click here to opt in to a special email action list. You will receive e-advocacy email alerts on an "as needed" basis (on average twice a month - though sometimes a little more and other times a little less, as needs fluctuate).
