Cold Spring Elementary School
|
Cold Spring families recently participated in a unique reading program called, "One School, One Book." This is a novel program in that children at all grade levels will all be listening to the same book with their family. Over the course of approximately six weeks 95 families all read The Cricket in Times Square by George Selden. Recently many of those families came together for a light meal, book discussion and engaging activities to celebrate the reading. This is the second year that Cold Spring families have participated in this program, and we are looking forward to making it an annual event.

This formidable team took away not only one, but two trophies at Saturday's event. The PCIS team were awarded BEST COSTUMES and the MOST MONMEY RAISED BY A MIDDLE SCHOOL. PCIS staff and advisors were on hand to chaperone and assist. Mr. Quinn led the charge into the water accompanied by Ms. Graves and Ms. Lovell. Ms. Sims cheered from the beach, while Ms. Keizer and Ms. Maccaferri held towels for the cold students. A special thanks for Ms. Cote for making the signs all around the building.
