As we set sail into 2016, we want to take a moment to thank each and every one of you -- our members from all 50 US states and 36 countries -- for supporting the Conservancy throughout this very successful, yet nail-biting, year. We couldn't have made such dramatic progress without your encouragement, dedication, and outpouring of support.
In 2016, we will continue to build on this powerful momentum. Though we came perilously close to losing America's Flagship this fall, the Conservancy and its wonderful supporters pulled through, giving the SS United States much-needed time for redevelopment negotiations to advance . With your help, we will continue to build our archival and curatorial collections, educate the public about the ship's legacy, and raise awareness for the SS United States through regional Chapter events around the world.
During the course of 2015, the Conservancy succeeded in securing world-wide media coverage leading to a groundswell of support and a renewed passion for the SS United States. As we continue to meet with potential developers and investors, we ask for your patience, support, and dedication. We are closer than ever to realizing our common goal of giving America's Flagship a new life and lasting purpose.
