Save the Date: Riverbend Event Rescheduled for May 3 |

The Conservancy will be hosting a wonderful evening and fundraiser at the lovely Riverbend Country Club in Great Falls, VA. The event, originally scheduled for March 8, will now be held on Friday, May 3. We will honor some special guests and promise a "journey back in time" as we celebrate the SS United States. Please let us know if you'd like to join our host committee or help with event preparations by sending an email to the Conservancy's Washington DC chapter at washington@ssusc.org. The Conservancy extends a warm welcome to all of our new "ship owners" at SavetheUnitedStates.org! As new member David Carney posted on his recent ship parcel purchase, "Let's Get This Done!"
We are so grateful for your many pledges of support at SavetheUnitedStates.org. Some of the many wonderful new parcels include a shout-out to Thomas Van Houten, former Manager of Terminal Engineering at United States Lines (link to ship parcel can be seen here) and a tribute to Michael Callan and Deborah Walley, stars of the 1962 Disney film Bon Voyage, set aboard the SS United States (a link to this purchase can be viewed here.)
