SLC Background

WELCOME BACK TO OUR RETURNING STUDENTS AND A SPECIAL WELCOME TO ALL OUR FIRST YEAR STUDENTS!

Academic news update for all students
Welcome to Champlain - St. Lawrence for the Fall 2015 semester, which will start with the first day of classes on Monday, August 24. Please take the time to carefully read this information and to re-read the " Keep Me, I Am Important" document sent this summer.

Schedule changes
We  ask for your patience as we prepare for the first day classes, which involves completing enough of the construction work for classes to start and making some final schedule changes. The schedule changes have been necessary due to changes in teacher availability and the need to provide some students with more balanced schedules. Other changes may take place this week, but we are trying to minimize them.

You will soon be able to make some schedule changes in Omnivox yourself, from the evening of August 21 to August 28. You may meet with Susie Ratté, Academic Advisor, in Room 234, for the following changes that require assistance:
     - you want to add or drop a course;
     - you are missing a pre-requisite;
     - you do not have a lunch break; or
     - you have a schedule restriction for medical reasons (medical note required).

Cancellations
If you have changed your mind about attending St. Lawrence for the coming fall semester, please contact Betty Ableson (bettya@slc.qc.ca) to let her know what you are planning to do instead.

Special note for new Business students
All students entering the three-year 410 Business Program need to attend one of the information sessions now scheduled in Room 268 either at 10:00 a.m. or 1:30 p.m. on Friday, August 21. Please remember to bring your USB key (on sale on Friday at the Bookstore) and your lap-top.

Best wishes to everyone for a successful semester!

BRING A LOCK ON WELCOME DAY.

Claim your locker!

You will find your locker number on your schedule.
