Hot yoga Event. November 7th at 13:30 right next to the school at the Prana Yoga in the Pyramid. The goal of our event is to give the opportunity to try something new or simply to enjoy this peaceful activity. The price has been fixed at $7 mats included. GUEST SPEAKER: Dr. and Maj. Marc Dauphin of the Canadian Armed Forces. Tuesday November 11th (Memorial Day) at 12:30 in rooms 348 and 349.

Marc Dauphin is a 60-year-old ex-military physician. He was a civilian ER doctor and a reservist for 27 years before being recalled, at age 54, to serve in uniform again Combat Doctor, his most recent book, presents the stories of the victims of the War in Afghanistan, as told by the last Canadian Officer Commanding at the Kandahar Role 3 Multinational Hospital.

Got Talent? That's what we're looking for! We are currently looking for artists among the students to perform at the St.Lawrence Talent Show, Thursday November 13th. May it be singing, dancing, comedy, ....... as long as it's a talent! People interested are invited to communicate with Billy Bastien, Mathieu Blanchet, Andrew McMahon, or Philippe Cummings at school or by Mio. Montreal's Geordie Productions is presenting the play
Offensive Fouls by Jason Long on Wednesday, November 19
th in  the cafeteria at 7 pm.

 

 

The play is an exploration of cross-cultural relationships, racism, violence and respect as seen through the eyes of a teenage couple, and is part of Geordie's

2014-15 season entitled Inspiring Dialogue.

 

Admission is free and everyone is invited. This event is sponsored by the SLC Student Association.

SAT and SAT SUBJECT Tests

TD Scholarships for Community Leadership

Deadline: November 28, 2014

Twenty TD Scholarships for Community Leadership are awarded to students in their last year of high school or CEGEP (in Quebec) who have demonstrated leadership in improving their community. Each scholarship has a value of up to $70,000 and includes:

Up to $10,000 for tuition per year (for up to a maximum of four years)

$7,500 a year for living expenses (for up to a maximum of four years)
