To be eligible, a student must be enrolled at the college on a full-time or part-time basis. Students will not be required to produce evidence of student status, but will be required, like all other electors, to prove their identity by presenting one of the five identity documents accepted for all types of voting during the general election.

Week of March 31st.  SLC Nutrition Week.

Have you eaten your fruit or vegetable today? Come to room 272, the reception desk or see us in the caf to either grab a fresh fruit or show us the fruit or veggie you are eating and in return we will give you a raffle ticket. Prizes will be drawn on Thursday at lunch by the student council.

Tuesday Martin Beaumont will be our guest speaker at 12:30 in the caf.  He will be giving students pointers on living a  healthy lifestyle.

 

Thursday students studying nutrition at Laval University will be on campus in the cafeteria at lunch to give students information on how to make healthy nutritional choices.

Job offered SLC Annual Summer Job Fair. Tuesday April 8th.  This year the job fair is hosted by our Entrepreneurship Club.  Various potential employers will be on campus to recruit for their summer job openings.  Between 11:00 and 14:00 in the main hall.

 

Spring clean-up! Recycle and Help!
April 8 to 10 (Tuesday to Thursday) 11h15am to 2h00pm, near the Library entrance.

Kill two birds with one stone! Bring your old books, CDs, DVDs, VHS tapes, LPs, computers, printers and any IT and electronic devices and accessories, wires, and AV equipment.

Volunteers from Signes d'Espoir and/or Eco St. Lo will welcome your old belongings in order to give them a second life or dispose of them properly.

Signes d'Espoir is a Quebec City based volunteer organisation offering work to more than 30 people with hearing impairment or other disabilities.

Blood type What's your blood type? Thursday, April 10th
Hema Québec will hold a stand in the cafeteria on Thursday, April 10th to demystify blood types and blood donations. They will be here between 10:00 and 14:00. Drop by the stand and find out what your blood type is, then on Tuesday, April 15th you will be all set to give blood.

LIONS HEAD TO DIVISION 1 HOCKEY CHAMPIONSHIP "AGAIN!"
Winning  7(p) - 6 against Lionel-Groulx
The Lions will play the Andre-Laurendeau Boomerang in a rematch of last year's championship series. St. Lawrence won the regular season series 3-2.  The championship round will begin in Ville Lasalle, while the Lions will host the second game of the finals, Sunday, April 6th in Ancienne Lorette.

Spring Cleaning

If you were very attached to your water bottle and or lunch box and have misplaced it, come to the LOST AND FOUND before Friday, April 5th. All objects will be thrown away at the end of the day Friday.

Important Revised Academic Calendar

We have been informed by the government that classes need to be cancelled for the provincial election (Monday, April 7, 2014), and that we also need to recover the lost hours of class.
In Summary:

1 - Classes are canceled on Monday, April 7, 2014.
2 - The last day of class will now be on Monday, May 5th.
3 - The Final Exam schedule will be revised and we will have exams on Saturday, May 10th. (This was an identified "Reserve day" for storms, election,...).
